 Medway Money Pit is a reasonably small but very active Share Club that was established in 2000 and remains operational today. The club has seen the market fall following the technology boom and also experienced some spectacular gains too. Currently meeting every month and active in buying & selling shares on the London Stock Exchange, the club tends to focus on FTSE100 / FTSE250 shares where experience has found the best performance. We run our main portfolio plus also a fantasy portfolio – a hotly contested competition run each calendar year between members who select one share each. Our Constitution and Rules & Regulations are run along PROSHARE guidelines, we currently use TD Waterhouse and Self Trade as our brokers and Barclays is the clubs’ bank. Our meetings, which are friendly and informal, are held at the Thurrock Hotel, close to Lakeside in Essex.
